我最先看懂的是《聖誕歡歌》，狄更斯寫的，喜劇非言情，蠻不錯滴；言情嗎，西方小說都寫得很悲催，不建議你看，因為西方的愛情觀與東方有很大的區別，最煩人的是，西方人在言情小說上寫得超級白開水……

我以前都讀英文簡版的名著。《大衛科波菲爾》《傲慢與偏見》《小婦人》《苔絲》《雙城記》啥的一口氣就能讀完。比較功利。只想知道它講的是什麼；專八考的文學常識貌似有這些。不過那些東西不愧是經典，即使是被人刪成薄本的簡寫版，那情節都很是吸引人。要不是原著有那麼多生單詞，愛用古英語，那麼厚，要不是我沒時間，我沒准真的會拿原著讀一讀。

哈利波特我讀過幾本，如果你是哈迷的話我強烈推薦《Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince》來讀。如果不是，就讀第一本吧。

《暮光之城》。。。我大一的時候超愛。 恨不得把愛德的話全背下來，語言上比《哈利波特》簡單得多。而且保證好看。哈利波特是剛開始進展很慢熬死你的那種，但是後面會很精彩。暮光就是典型的言情小說，女生都會喜歡吧，呵呵。

如果想了解美國歷史的話，可以讀奧巴馬的《the audacity of hope》，這位美國政界超男語言功底不可小覷，總統都能當，這忽悠美國民眾的能力自然是深厚，從他的傳記就能看出來，呵呵。

建議你不要看那種中英文橫著排版對照的小說……那種小說很容易就會只看中文不看英文。要買還是買純英文的或者是先是一章英文最後是中文解讀的那種。
我推薦幾本比較實用的
《假如給我三天光明》看這本書比較能增長詞彙量，而且都是比較實用的單詞。
《傲慢與偏見》像這種愛情小說的題材比較能夠讓人讀下去，不會覺得很煩。
《哈利波特》這個想必大家都不陌生，讀自己熟悉的情節會更能夠增強閱讀能力和速度。
《暮光之城》也是最近很火的小說，情節挺有意思的，如果lz喜歡這本小說的話不妨讀讀英文版的。
另外，讀讀一些喜歡的劇本也挺有幫助的，比如像老友記。總之我的建議是找一些自己感興趣的電影電視劇，找出英文版來看，一是情節上比較熟悉，能幫助你提高理解力和速度，而是你看起來也比較不煩。
